RE:
Docket #R01-10
Dear
Ms.
Gunn:
I would
like
to
express my
opinion
of the
proposed
peaker
plants
for the
Zion
Benton Township area.
There
are many
of us who have lived
our
entire
life
in the ZionBenton Township area,
and
have endured
the potential health and environmental
risks associated
with the
Zion Nuclear power plant
and
its
spent
rods
below
ground.
We also have the BFJ waste dump
to the west.
It is my opinion the Zion City
Council
should explore alterative options to obtain tax
base revenue, as-well
as jobs for the community.
I
say
NO
to
building
power
plants
of any
kind in our
township.
There must be cleaner,
safer technology
available to supply the people of
this
State energy.
Sincerely,
Curt
W. Peters
