    HEARING OFFICER ORDER
     
    On July 16, 2004, respondent contacted the hearing officer to request an extension of the
    deadline for its post-hearing brief to August 2, 2004. Although the last hearing officer order
    indicated that no further extensions would be granted, respondent’s attorney has indicated that
    he cannot meet the current deadline for various reasons. Accordingly, this final extension is
    granted. The People’s reply is now due August 16, 2004.
     
    The hearing in this case was held ten months ago, and the hearing officer requests that the
    parties not ask for further extensions. If these dates cannot be met, the parties are directed to
    file motions for leave to file
    instanter
    .
