IN THE MATTER OF:

PETITION OF SOLAR
)
AS 94-2
CORPORATION FOR AN ADJUSTED
)
(Adjusted Standard
-
Air)
STANDARD FROM 35 ILL. ADM.
CODE 218 SUBPART PP
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by N. McFawn):
This matter is before the Board on a February 1, 1995
joint
motion for extension of time for the Illinois Environmental
Protection Agency
(Agency) to submit its response to the amended
petition filed by Solar Corporation
(Solar) on January
3,
1995.
The parties seek an extension until February 22,
1995 for the
Agency to file its response.
In support of the motion, the parties state that Material
Safety Data Sheets submitted as exhibits with Solar’s amended
petition revealed that Solar’s specialty adhesive, Imperial
Whisper Spray, has as its main solvent Methylene Chloride.
This
solvent is excluded from the definition of VON contained in 35
Ill Adm. Code 211.7150(a).
The parties therefore believe that
Solar may not need an adjusted standard for its Specialty
Adhesive usage.
The parties need to further discuss the extent
to which the specialty adhesive can be used for Solar’s other
operations,
and the extent to which an adjusted standard is
needed.
The motion for extension of time is hereby granted.
The
Agency’s response is now due on or before February 22,
1995.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
