ORDER OF THE BOARD (by N. J. Melas):
On January 14, 1999, petitioner Abbott Laboratories (Abbott) filed a “Motion to
Extend Filing Date” (mot.). In the motion, Abbott states that it needs an additional 30 days to
comply with a Board order directing that Abbott file an amended petition. See In the Matter
of: Petition of Abbott Laboratories for Adjusted Standard from 35 Ill. Adm. Code 302.208
and 304.105 (December 17, 1998), AS 99-5.
Abbott states that it has been unable to compile sufficient data describing the
quantitative impact of its discharges on the receiving stream. Mot. at 1. Abbott believes that,
within 30 days, it will be able to provide the Board with responsive data or plans for further
studies.
Id.
The Board grants Abbott’s motion and orders that Abbott file an amended petition no
later than February 16, 1999, at 4:30 p.m.
