ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by Mr. Dumelle):
On November
3,
1978 Petitioners requested a variance from
Rule 203(d) (9) (iv) (C)
of the Board’s Air Pollution Control Regula-
tions.
The Petition is improper because
it requests relief for
a statewide class of sources.
This sort of relief should be
addressed in a Petition which conforms with Title VII of the
Act and Part
II of the Board’s Procedural Rules.
As a variance request the Petition is inadequate in the
following respects.
First,
it fails to disclose the quantity of
the materials discharged as required by Procedural Rule 401 (a) (4).
Second,
it fails to include the estimated costs involved to
achieve compliance as required by Procedural Rule 401(a) (6).
Third,
it does not provide an adequate assessment of the environmental
impact of the requested relief as required by Procedural
Rule
401(a) (7).
Consequently, the Petition is hereby dismissed.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Christan
L. Moffett, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution
Contrçl Board,
