HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On August 17, 2006, the complainant and Tronx LLC, informed the hearing
officer that discovery issues in the related case in federal court should be resolved by the
next status conference that will enable this matter to move forward. It is noted that
respondents River East LLC, Chicago Dock and Canal Trust and Chicago Dock and
Canal Company (River East) have not appeared since at least April 5, 2006, when the
motion to withdraw representation file by River East’s former attorney was granted.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic
status conference with the hearing officer on November 2, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. The

telephonic status onference must be initiated by the complainants but each party is
nonetheless responsible its own appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be
prepared to discuss the status of the above-captioned matter and their readiness for
hearing.
