    RE:
    Case No. PCB 03-221
    Dear Ms. Gunn:
We are writing to inform you ofour support ofthe McHenry County Board’s decision to
deny Mr. Lowe’s, application for a proposed waste transfer station in Cary. We believe
the Board’s decision should be upheld based on the following reasons:
The facility is so designed, located and proposedto be operated that the public health,
safety and welfare will be protected.
The facility is located so as to minimize incompatibility with the character ofthe
surrounding area and to minimize the effect on the value ofthe surrounding property.
The plan of operations forthe facility is desigfied to minimize the danger to the
surrounding area from fire, spills, or other operations accidents.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
