HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On May 5, 2005, all parties participated in a telephonic status conference with the
hearing officer. The respondent represented that the parties have been exchanging a draft
stipulation and proposal for settlement (stipulation) and is optimistic that it will be filed prior to
the next status conference. The respondent made an oral motion for an extension of time to file
its answer. The complainant had no objection. Respondent’s motion is granted. Respondent’s
answer is now due to be filed on or before August 4, 2005.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to appear at a telephonic status
conference with the hearing officer on July 21, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. The telephonic status
conference must be initiated by the complainant, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its
own appearance. At the conference the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of the
above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing. If, however, a stipulation is filed prior to
the next status conference, the conference will be cancelled without further order.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
