I urge you to adopt strong controls that, by 2009, would
cut coal plant mercury pollution by 90%

Every river, lake, and stream in Illinois now carries a health
warning for mercury contamination . Illinois can address this
problem now and show America how requiring cost-effective
measures for mercury control will clean up local lakes and
streams and promote a healthy economy .
