HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On July 7, 2005, respondent file a motion to continue. Respondent’s motion mistakenly
asserts that this matter is currently set for hearing on July 19, 2005. As stated in the hearing
officer order dated May 31, 2005, the parties are simply directed to participate in a telephone
status conference with the hearing officer on that day. The purpose of the status conference is to
discuss the status of this case, e.g. whether the parties are negotiating a settlement, whether a
discovery schedule should be set, or whether the parties plan to file any additional motions.
Given the misunderstanding, the motion to continue is denied, and the parties are directed
to participate in a telephone status conference with the hearing officer at 10:30 a.m. on
July 19, 2005. The status conference shall be initiated by the complainant.
Additionally, respondent is reminded that a copy of all documents filed with the Clerk’s
Office must also be sent to the hearing officer at the address listed below. Respondent’s attorney
may wish to review the Board’s procedural rules on its web site at www.ipcb.state.il.us
