HEARING OFFICER ORDER

On August 30, 2005, the parties participated in a telephone status conference with the

hearing officer. The parties agree that respondent’s attorney does not have a direct conflict of

interest in this case, and he will continue to represent respondent. Respondent’s answer to the

complaint is due by September 20, 2005. The parties will discuss the possibility of settlement

despite the city’s financial hardships.

The parties are directed to participate in a telephone status conference with the hearing

officer at 10:00 a.m. on October 20, 2005. The status conference shall be initiated by the

complainant.
