ORDER OF THE BOARD (by B. Forcade):
On March 8, 1988, Reilly Tar & Chemical Company (“Reilly”)
and City of Granite City filed a petition for variance from
certain Board regulations regarding the discharge of mercury.
That petition is deficient in that:
It purports to request variance on behalf of
the City of Granite City, yet none of the
documents requesting variance are signed by a
representative of the City of Granite City;
and
The petition seeks extension of a variance
(PCB 84—82) and the Board records in that pro-
ceeding have been removed for microfilming,
therefore, any portions of the PCB 84—82 pro-
ceeding which petitioner wishes considered
here must be physically reproduced in this
record by the Petitioner.
The appearance of out—of—state counsel is accepted by the Board.
Unless an amended petition is filed within 45 days curing
the above noted deficiencies, this matter will be subject to
dismissal. The amended petition need not include the material
already included with the original petition.
IT IS SO ORDERED
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby certify that the above Order was adopted on
