VILLAGE OF ROSELLE,
Petitioner,
v.
)
PCB 87—39
ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL
)
PROTECTION AGENCY,
Respondent.
ORDER OF THE BOARD (by B. Forcade):
On March 30, 1987, the Village of Roselle filed a Petition
for Variance, seeking relief from regulations on restricted
status and standards for permit issuance as those regulations
pertain to limitations on combined Radium—226 and 228. That
petition is deficient in that:
It asserts that V~ell No. 5 is the only high
radium well and produces approximately 26 of
the total pumping capacity. The petition
fails to provide sufficient information on the
location of wells, blending capacities, and
distribution system to allow the Board to
determine whether blending could be used to
reduce the contamination levels, and addit-
ional information on past levels of radium
sampling and analysis or a statement that no
additional data exist.
Unless an amended petition is filed within 45 days of the
date of this Orider, curing the above—noted defect, this matter
will be subject to dismissal.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby certifythat the above Order was adopted on
