ORDER OF THE BOARD (by Dr. Odell)
On May 29, 1975, the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad
filed with the Illinois Pollution Control Board (Board) a
Petition for: Variance from Rules 202(b) and 203(a) of the
Board’s Air Pollution Regulations (Chapter 2) from May 30,
1975, through March 1, 1976.
On June 6, 1975, the Board requested Petitioner to
supply more information on ambient air quality in the area
affected by Petitioner’s painting operations. Information
concerning ambient air quality was filed with the Board on
July 22, 1975, in an Amended Variance Petition.
On August 7, 1975, the Illinois Environmental Pro-
tection Agency filed with the Board an Objection to Petition
for Variance and Motion for Hearing. The Board hereby grants
the
Agency’s Motion for Hearing and will set a hearing on
this
matter.
