ORDER OF
THE
BOARD (by Mr. Durnelle)
It is the Order of the Board that:
1. Variance is granted from Rules 2-2.54 and 3-3.111 to operate
the cupola, rotary furnace and two crucible furnaces until
February 1, 1974 provided however that the cupola and rotary
furnaces shall never be operated simultaneously during the
term of the variance.
2. Petitioner shall report monthly beginning October 1, 1973 to
the Agency the time and duration of usage of the equipment
listed in No. 1 above and the weight and type of materials.
processed by each cupola or furnace listed above.
3. Petitioner shall accomplish “Phase One” and “Phase Two” of
its program as listed in the variance petition. All gas
flow and analysis data shall be submitted to the Agency within
three (3) days of receipt of it by the petitioner.
4. The Agency shall issue permits necessary to accomplish “Phase
One” and “Phase Two”.
5. Petitioner shall
exert all efforts to obtain engineering data
(especially gas flow) in the time of this variance in order to
be prepared to
install proper control equipment should the
variance be extended.
