ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
January 21,
1988
AMOCO CHEMICAL COMPANY,
Petitioner,
v.
)
PCB 88—1
ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL
)
PROTECTION AGENCY,
Respondent.
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by B.
Forcade):
On January 4,
1988, Amoco Chemical Company
(“Amoco”) filed a
petition for variance for
its facilities
in Joliet, Willow
Springs,
and Wood River,
Illinois.
The Board set the matter for
hearing.
However, these facilities
are located
in separate counties
and,
as such, hearing must be held
in each of
those counties.
As
the original petitJon sought variance
for three facilities
in
different counties, that petition was defective.
The Board
rescinds its Order
of January
7,
1988,
and orders Amoco
to file
individual petitions for each of its facilities.
Unless amended petitions are filed within 45 days of
the
date of
this Order, curing
the above—noted defect,
this matter
will be subject to dismissal.
IT IS SO ORDERED
I, Dorothy
M. Gunn,
Clerk of

Board, hereby certify ~at
