The data show two “violations” of the oxidant standard during
the
Auc~ust1-4,
1975 temporary monitoring period.
A case can be
made
that one of these “violations” was n~treally
a violation since
it was exactly at the 0.08 ppm standard and technically this
only uequa1ied~but did not “exceed” the standard.
Reqardiess of this argument,
I would have voted to deny
the variance because of the great number of oxidant violations
in
the Chicago Major Metropolitan ARea in which this source
is
located.
The emissions are in the same “airshed” where the
oxidant problem has been widespread and frequent.
