HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On September 20, 2005, the petitioner Waste Management of Illinois Inc. (WMII)
contacted the hearing officer regarding an extension of time to file the respective briefs due in
the above-captioned matter. WMII represented that respondent County of Kankakee (County)
had no objection to the extension of time.
WMII represented that it will file a waiver of the statutory decision deadline to and
including February 16, 2006. In light of the additional waiver, the briefing schedule is as
follows. The County’s post-hearing brief is now due to be filed on or before December 2, 2005.
WMII’s reply brief, if any, is due to be filed on or before December 23, 2005. The mailbox rule
does not apply.
