    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by N. Nardulli):
This matter comes before the Board on a joint motion to stay
the scheduling of a hearing filed on May 5,
    1992.
    This petition
was filed with the Board on April
    30,
    1991.
    On Nay 5,
    1992,
    the
Board received a status report indicating that
    the, parties have
    provided
    the
    Board
    with
    an
    additional
    waiver
    of
    the
    Board’s
decision deadline until November 30, 1992.
    The parties assert that
    they
    have
    been
    working
    diligently
    to
    resolve
    the
    legal
    and
    technical issues of this matter.
    Specifically, the parties have
held several meetings and telephone conferences, and the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency has made two plant visits.
    The
parties also assert that the issues have been further complicated
by the necessary involvement of many different agencies
    and the
significant changes in applicable federal and state regulations.
Finally, the parties expect that the matter will be resolved in six
    weeks.
For these reasons, the parties believe that it would be a
    waste
    of
    public
    and private resources
    to
    schedule,
    notice
    and
prepare for hearing in this matter at this time.
    The
    Board
    hereby
    grants
    the parties’
    motion
    to
    stay the
    scheduling of
    a hearing.
The Board directs the parties to file
another status report with the Board to be received by the Board no
    later than June 30,
    1992.
The Board notes that the June 30,
    1992
date will allow the Board the time necessary to hold
    a hearing
    prior to the November 30,
    1992 decision deadline,
    if a hearing is
    necessary.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    B. Forcade abstained.
