    HEARING OFFICER ORDER
     
    On May 20, 2004, the parties participated in a telephone status conference with the
    hearing officer. Respondent’s attorney is discussing the possibility of settlement with its
    technical staff. By next week, the parties will know whether settlement appears likely, or
    whether a discovery schedule should be set.
     
    The parties are directed to participate in a telephone status conference with the hearing
    officer at 10:00 a.m. on June 2, 2004. The status conference shall be initiated by the petitioner.
      
    The decision deadline in this case is October 22, 2004.
