HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On June 30, 2005, the respondents informed the hearing officer that the parties continue
to have serious and ongoing settlement discussions that include an indemnification agreement
regarding reimbursement costs from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for cleanup.
At present, the parties are negotiating the dollar amount of the settlement.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic status
conference with the hearing officer on September 15, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. The telephonic status
conference must be initiated by the complainant, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its
own appearance. At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of
the above-captioned matter and their readiness for hearing.
