ORDER
OF
THE BOARD. (by R
•
C.
Ylemal):
On January
4,
1993, respondent village of Mccook (Village)
filed a motion to reconsider the Board’s December 17,
3992
order
requiring
that
the
Village
file
seven àopi.s
of
the transcripts
of the Village hearings and
three
copies of
the
record
of
the
Village proceedings.
The Village asks
that the Board reconsider
its order and allow the Village to
file one certified
copy
of the
record of proceedings.
The Board
notes
that
the
arguments
raised
by
the
Village
were previously rejected by
the
Board
in
Zeman
v.
Vilisa.
of
Summit (December 17,
1992), PCB
92—174
consolidated
with PCB 92—
377.
In
rejecting
a
similar request in
ZuDz~,
the Board noted
the
short statutory time frame in
~thich
the
Board
must
render a
decision in landfill siting review cases
(SB 172)
and that the
seven
Board
Members
and
professional
staff
must
review
the
record.
Additionally,
the
Board noted
that
its
regulations
reduce
the
number
of
copies
to
be
filed
in
SB172
cases
from
those
required in other cases filed with the Board.
(See 35 Ill. Ada.
Code
102.
•
103 (b).)
Therefore,
for the reasons given by the Board
0138-0319
2
in
PCB
92-174,
the
Board
denies
the
Village’s
motion
to
reconsider.
For
the
foregoing
reasons,
the
Village’s
motion
for
reconsideration
is
denied.
IT
