BOARD
October

1995
IN THE MATTER OF:
R95—18
UIC UPDATE, USEPA REGULATIONS
)
(Identical in Substance Rules)
(January
1 through June 30,
1995)
)
Proposed rule.
Dismissal order.
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by R,.C.
Flemal):
Pursuant to Sections 7.2,
13(c), and 22.4(a)
of
the
Environmental Protection Act
(Act), the Board would normally
propose amendments to the Underground Injection Control
(UIC)
regulations semi-annually.
Accordingly,
the Board reserved this
docket for U.S. EPA amendments during the period from January
1
through June 30,
1995.
During this period,
U.S. EPA amended its
UIC rules one time,
as follows:
60 Fed.
Reg.
33932, June 29,
1995
These amendments were limited to thc removal of obsolete or
redundant provisions.
U.S. EPA removed 40 CFR 144.15,
144.23(b) (2),
146.52,
and 148.1(c)(4).
Since none of these
provisions has a counterpart in the Illinois UIC regulations,
no
Board action
is necessary based on this federal action.
For the foregoing reason,
the Board hereby dismisses this
proceeding.
